- What is your role within the company? Talent Intelligence Manager
- Where are you based? Based in Ireland, splitting my time between Dublin and Cork.
- How do you find working remotely? Thanks to the established Allen Recruitment methodologies and the scalability of our internal systems and technology stack, we were well-positioned to meet and exceed the challenges posed by the pandemic. During the period of lockdown, I believe the communication mediums we’ve settled on here in Allen Recruitment have hit the right tone and have dovetailed nicely into the way our business was evolving anyway. Thanks to our heavy investment in technology and methodology over recent years, literally overnight we are able to switch from an office-based team to a remote team – overall, our business didn’t miss a beat. As we grow our presence across Europe and beyond, I think the challenges over the last year or so have provided a real test and validation of our systems and have allowed us to bring forward and tweak the changes needed to be a true multi-regional recruitment provider. For me personally, working remotely from my home in Cork – I have enjoyed the convenience of flexible hours which has led to an overall improved work-life balance.
- What’s your favourite part of your job? Working with Allen Recruitment Account Managers and clients on hard-to-fill Technical roles. Determining hiring manager’s requirements and developing suitable candidate lists for our recruiters to work on.
- You dial the phone, who is the ideal person who could answer your call? A day rate contractor actively looking for a new assignment.
Other than that, maybe the Leinster Rugby Ticket officer telling me I’ve won a lifetime season ticket for the RDS. - Tell me something interesting about you? Leinster Rugby Supporter. Outside of work, I am interested in anything Astronomy and Deep Sky Astrophotography related.
