Excited about the idea of becoming a Senior Fund Accountant? Our renowned Canadian client, known for its tailored accounting services, is looking for a talented individual to join their team in Valencia permanently.
Responsibilities:
- Documenting capital activities like subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions.
- Recording and reconciling cash transactions, conducting cash reconciliations.
- Documenting and reconciling investment trading activities.
- Performing reconciliations of security positions.
- Pricing portfolios, including derivatives, equities, and bonds, as per fund offering documents.
- Ensuring accurate accrual of fund income and expenses, including management and performance fees, compliant with relevant accounting standards.
- Generating Investor Statements and contract notes.
- Creating distribution waterfall calculations.
- Compiling financial statements.
- Coordinating year-end audit and tax reporting requests, collaborating with clients and auditors.
- Efficiently managing client inboxes, promptly and professionally responding to queries.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of fund accounting experience or FS audit experience.
- Knowledge of closed-ended funds.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and constant change.
- Prior experience with PFS-Paxus is desired, but not required.
- An accounting designation is desired, but not required.
