Allen Recruitment is assisting a global leader in the online and mobile gaming and interactive entertainment industries to source a System Administration Team Lead to work remotely for their operations based in Bulgaria. You will lead a small team in keeping their non-prod environments up and running while making improvements to how they operate and run them as well as release software to production.
Suitable applicants will have a minimum of 2.5 years of experience with server virtualization and software defined networking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team, making sure they are motivated and deliver on time
- Help automate and streamline their operations and processes
- Support building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in their dev, QA/UAT environments for a wide variety of projects
- You will maintain, upgrade and configure their internal services
Required skills:
- 2.5 years of exp. with server virtualization and software defined networking
- Messaging middle-ware and AMQP. Specifically Kafka and Artemis
- SQL in general and PostgreSQL, MySQL specifically (NoSQL experience, such as Cassandra, Redis and MongoDB is a plus.)
- Cloud services (experience with AWS would be nice)
- Automation/configuration management using either Salt, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent
- Some experience focused on coding and scripting (mostly Bash, Python, Java, Groovy)
- APM tools such as NewRelic or SysDig
- Familiar with Apache and Nginx web servers running and configuring
- Fluent English, Bulgarian not a must but nice to have
